Elisa advises clients in our Real Assets Practice, which is a multi-disciplinary group of experienced lawyers whose expertise cuts across energy, infrastructure, real estate, construction, environment, and projects.

Elisa specialises in energy and infrastructure transactions and projects. She has several years of experience in transaction work with a special focus on renewable energy transactions. Elisa has gained extensive experience especially in the transactional aspects of onshore and offshore wind projects, battery energy storage systems projects, and solar photovoltaic projects. She provides advice on questions related to key transactional documents and agreements and questions regarding energy projects otherwise. Elisa also advises clients in project-financed transactions, general corporate and contract law matters, and questions related to real estate.

The Rajamäenkylä wind farm in Karijoki and Isojoki will be completed in 2028 and comprise 54 Nordex N175/6.8 wind turbines with a total capacity of 367 MW. The Honkakangas wind farm in Halsua will be completed in 2027 and comprise 16 Nordex N175/6.525 wind turbines with a total capacity of around 105 MW. The projects have a long-term PPA with a multinational corporate offtaker, and OX2 has also secured a long-term debt financing agreement with Santander Corporate & Investment Banking. The investment amounts to more than EUR 700 million, and the wind farms will remain under OX2’s ownership once constructed.

Hannes Snellman advised OX2 in respect of the construction contracts for full grid and balance of plant, turbine procurement, PPA, development, as well as Finnish law aspects of the project financing.

Hannes Snellman acted as local counsel to SEB Nordic Energy's portfolio company, Locus Energy AB, a long-term active owner and developer of local infrastructure for sustainable energy production in the Nordic region, in the establishment of a partnership and cooperation framework with Ingrid Capacity to develop and construct a battery energy storage system (BESS) in the City of Nivala, Finland. Upon completion, this BESS will be the largest of its kind in Finland and one of the largest in the Nordics.
