Silja advises clients in our Real Assets Practice, which is a multi-disciplinary group of experienced lawyers whose expertise cuts across energy, infrastructure, real estate, construction, environment, and projects.

Silja specialises in complex industrial projects in all phases of negotiation and execution. She works on projects across industries ranging from renewable energy, green hydrogen, nuclear, and bioproducts to production plants. Her expertise includes advising on project contracts and commodity supply and off-take agreements, such as corporate PPAs.

Hannes Snellman acted as counsel to Locus Energy Ab, a long-term active owner and developer of local infrastructure for sustainable energy production in the Nordic region, in its acquisition of portfolio of three operating Finnish wind farms from SUSI Renewable Energy Fund II. The wind farms Pirttiselkä, Leppävirta and Muntila consists of 13 wind turbine generators and contribute approximately 125 GWh in annual production.

Hannes Snellman acted as counsel to Exilion in the negotiation of a long-term Power Purchase Agreement with Axpo for wind power acquired by Colgate-Palmolive. Axpo will sell electricity produced by Exilion’s Ii Isokangas wind farm, located in Northern Ostrobothnia, to Colgate-Palmolive to supply their renewable energy needs. Under the 12 year PPA, Exilion will deliver an annual amount of 70 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of the production of the Ii Isokangas wind farm.
