Aleksi advises domestic and international clients on industrial and energy projects throughout all stages, from planning and construction to operation and closure. His work involves projects spanning various industries, including renewable energy, bio-based products, chemicals, mining, Power-to-X, and Waste-to-X facilities.

Aleksi has extensive experience in advising clients on environmental permitting, land-use planning, environmental liabilities, and other issues related to environmental law. In addition, he provides advice on administrative court appeals and transactions. Aleksi also specialises in chemical and waste law, with substantial expertise in end-of-waste and product safety related assignments. He is also active in Hannes Snellman’s ESG Group.

Hannes Snellman advised Exilion, a leading Finnish renewable energy investor, on its approximately EUR 17 million investment into a 30 MW/66 MWh energy storage facility in Mäntyharju. Once operational in 2026, the facility will provide critical balancing capacity to the electricity market and enhance power system stability. The property is located in Iisalmi, Finland, and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2026. Hannes Snellman is advising Lassila & Tikanoja plc in the separation of its Circular Economy business area by way of a partial demerger into a new independent listed company to be named Lassila & Tikanoja Plc. In connection with the demerger, the current Lassila & Tikanoja would retain its Facility Services business area, and the company is intended to be re-named Luotea Plc. The new Lassila & Tikanoja is expected to be a leading market player in the Nordic circular economy market positioned for growth and expansion both organically and through acquisitions by cross-selling to its customer base, broadening its geographical presence, and enhancing the material value of waste and material chain integration. The contemplated completion date of the partial demerger is 31 December 2025. Upon the completion of the demerger, the shares in the new Lassila & Tikanoja are expected to be listed on the official list of Nasdaq Helsinki.
