Elina advises domestic and international clients on capital markets and public M&A transactions. She also frequently provides advice on disclosure obligations, insider regulation, and other regulatory issues. Elina has experience in several different equity and debt capital market transactions, including IPOs, share issues, securities offerings, private placements, bond issues, corporate transactions, and public tender offers. Moreover, she focuses on corporate governance and compliance matters.

Katja advises clients in our Real Assets Practice, which is a multi-disciplinary group of experienced lawyers whose expertise cuts across energy, infrastructure, real estate, construction, environment, and projects.

Katja specialises in energy and infrastructure transactions and projects. She has extensive experience in complex, large-scale renewable energy and infrastructure transactions, joint ventures, and other cooperation arrangements, particularly in the fields of onshore and offshore wind power, solar photovoltaic, and battery energy storage systems. Additionally, Katja provides general advice during the development and operational phases of assets on real estate, commercial, corporate, and contract law.

Matti advises domestic and international clients on dispute resolution and dispute avoidance with a special emphasis on construction, project delivery, and related fields. Matti acts as counsel for clients in arbitration and court proceedings and has experience as an arbitrator. While having specialist know-how on construction disputes, Matti is an experienced generalist lawyer and has handled disputes on a range of issues. He has particular experience on negotiating solutions to disputes in long-term business relationships.

Matti is currently on a parental leave.

Emilia works as part of Hannes Snellman’s Business Development Team. She supports different business areas in matters related to business development, client relations, and marketing.

Heikki heads Hannes Snellman’s Tax Practice and advises clients on transaction tax structuring, tax planning, and tax litigation engagements. He frequently acts as a trusted advisor, particularly in transactions involving complex international and cross-border tax elements. He also defends clients’ tax positions in courts and has provided advice in several successful high-profile tax cases which have resulted in important case law precedents in Finnish tax law. Furthermore, Heikki customarily provides advocacy in legislative reformation procedures encompassing generally or specifically the central tax interests of clients.  

Klaus advises clients in our Real Assets Practice, which is a multi-disciplinary group of experienced lawyers whose expertise cuts across energy, infrastructure, real estate, construction, environment, and projects. Klaus heads the Environment & Natural Resources Practice.

He advises domestic and international clients on assignments related to environmental law. He is regularly involved in a wide range of energy and natural resources projects. Wind power development, solar PV, data centres, hydrogen projects, and mining are particular focal areas of Klaus’s expertise, and he has in-depth regulatory know-how and practical experience in these fields. Klaus has also had an active role in numerous infrastructure-related projects ranging from waterways to harbours and road networks. His expertise spans capital markets, litigation, PPP, project finance, restructuring, and tax, with an outstanding track record. He is also active in Hannes Snellman’s ESG Group.

Tapio is the senior partner of the firm and advises clients in our Real Assets Practice, which is a multi-disciplinary group of experienced lawyers whose expertise cuts across energy, infrastructure, real estate, construction, environment, and projects.

Tapio has been involved in a large part of the major real estate and energy transactions, joint ventures, and projects of the past years. Tapio works with a wide range of clients, including numerous multinational and Nordic institutional investors and industrials, developers, IPPs, and state institutions.

Sanna Kaunisto works as a reception supervisor in Hannes Snellman’s Office Services Team. Her role focuses on overseeing the reception area, ensuring smooth daily operations, and providing excellent service to clients and visitors.

Taina works as the head of compliance and KM at Hannes Snellman. In this role, she has the overall responsibility for the firm’s compliance policies and programmes. She is a member of the Hannes Academy Team responsible for the firm’s training offering. She is also actively involved in Hannes Snellman’s sustainability and corporate citizenship work.
