UNICEF

UNICEF is one of our longest-standing pro bono partnerships. Our cooperation includes pro bono legal advice, supporting UNICEF’s testament donation programme that enables individuals to leave a legacy for children in need, and monetary donations to support humanitarian work and development programmes around the world.

Nadija Foundation

Nadija Foundation responds to the urgent need for mental and physical rehabilitation of war-affected children in Ukraine. Nadija Foundation is a unique Nordic-Ukrainian initiative focused on creating lasting mental and physical health infrastructure for children.

As part of the Nadija initiative, Hannes Snellman provides ongoing legal and governance support on a pro bono basis. Our contribution helps ensure that the foundation’s operations are legally sound, transparent, and aligned with Nordic and international standards — strengthening the foundation’s capacity to deliver long-term impact.

The Finnish Red Cross, FRC, helps people in times of accidents or crises in Finland and abroad. Hannes Snellman regularly advises the Red Cross in Finland on a pro bono basis.

Project Access Finland

Project Access Finland works to support talented students from underrepresented backgrounds in pursuing higher education opportunities abroad, particularly at leading international universities. Through its programmes, the organisation provides guidance, community, and practical tools for navigating the application process.

Hannes Snellman is proud to support Project Access Finland’s Bootcamp initiative. The collaboration reflects our commitment to promoting equal opportunities and supporting the next generation of talent.

Cooperation with Universities

We organise courses and lectures at different universities with topics covering all our practice areas. Many of our lawyers contribute their time to university cooperation, and as a firm, Hannes Snellman supports the development of academia, the latest example of which is the new sustainability law professorship under the University of Helsinki Faculty of Law.
