Susanna Purovirta

Susanna advises domestic and international clients in mergers and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, and various corporate arrangements. Susanna has experience in auction processes, both sell-side and buy-side, and distressed M&A. In addition, she provides advice on corporate, commercial, and contract law matters, including shareholders’ agreements, stock option plans, and questions regarding board liability. Susanna advises both private and public companies.

Petra Komppula

Petra works as a business development coordinator in our Business Development Team, focusing on marketing, external communications, client events, and assisting in client relationship management. She is the business development responsible of Hannes Snellman’s Competition and Regulatory and Tax Teams.

Jon Termonen

Jon advises issuers, shareholders, financial institutions, and other capital markets participants in connection with IPOs, rights offerings, private placements, debt instruments, and share buy-backs. He also provides advice on public takeovers, representing bidders, target boards, and large shareholders in takeover situations. In addition, he provides advice on mergers and demergers of publicly listed companies. Moreover, he advises clients on questions regarding disclosure issues, corporate governance, company law, and securities regulation.

Tony Kemmo

Tony works as an IT administrator in our IT Team. In his work, he focuses mainly on system and software maintenance and user support.

Julia Ranta

Julia advises clients in our Real Assets Practice, which is a multi-disciplinary group of experienced lawyers whose expertise cuts across energy, infrastructure, real estate, construction, environment, and projects.

Julia specialises in projects particularly within the energy and environment sectors, advising a wide range of actors in relation to e.g. wind power, solar PV, and BESS projects, especially regarding land use, permitting, and regulatory questions. Moreover, she provides advice on hydrogen and Power-to-X projects, with a focus on hydrogen and Power-to-X related regulation.

Erik Stenman

Erik is a partner within the firm’s M&A Practice and specialises in mergers and acquisitions with an emphasis on private equity. He has 15 years of experience in transactional work, both domestic and cross-border, advising both Finnish and international private equity sponsors, infrastructure investors, and industrial clients on various M&A deals and investments, including buy-side and sell-side auction processes. Erik also regularly advises clients on corporate law matters and general contract law.

Taija Niku

Taija works as a legal tech manager in our Legal Tech Team focusing on providing lawyers with premier legal technology solutions and capabilities to enhance client service. She has strong focus on collaboration tools, project management, and AI. Additionally, Taija has extensive experience in project and programme management in multi-vendor and multi-cultural settings.

Monika Parkkinen

Monika works as a legal assistant in our Real Assets Practice, which is a multi-disciplinary group of experienced lawyers whose expertise cuts across energy, infrastructure, real estate, construction, environment, and projects. Her primary focus is on real estate and energy.

Monika supports the team in client work, such as matter intake and client due diligence processes, communication with clients and other parties, legal document management and proofreading, and project coordination. In addition, her responsibilities include administrative work such as travel and meeting arrangements, event planning, calendar management, and invoicing.

Matti Lajunen

Matti advises clients in our Real Assets Practice, which is a multi-disciplinary group of experienced lawyers whose expertise cuts across energy, infrastructure, real estate, construction, environment, and projects. Matti heads the Real Estate Practice.

Matti specialises in real estate transactions and property development. He has gained experience working with a number of domestic and international investors on all types of property acquisitions, disposals, sale and leaseback arrangements, and lease negotiations, including some of the largest property development projects in Finland to date. In addition, he has experience dealing with distressed assets. Matti also regularly advises data centre developers and operators and acts as the key contact for data centre clients.

Katja Perätalo

Katja Perätalo advises clients in our Real Assets Practice, which is a multi-disciplinary group of experienced lawyers whose expertise cuts across energy, infrastructure, real estate, construction, environment, and projects.

Katja specialises in industrial construction projects in all phases of negotiation and execution, and both in terms of non-contentious and contentious aspects. She has particular expertise in EPC & EPCM projects (based on FIDIC terms and otherwise), projects based on disaggregated contracting/procurement strategies, and Contracts & Claims Management leadership both on a global organisational level and within a particular project or contract. She works on projects across industries ranging from renewable energy, green hydrogen, nuclear, and bioproducts to production plants and facilities within e.g. oil&gas, defence, food, and pharma.
