Klaus Ilmonen

Klaus Ilmonen advises on corporate transactions involving public corporations. His practice includes public takeovers, equity capital markets, and corporate governance of publicly traded corporations. He is recognised for his expertise in complex takeover situations and in international capital markets transactions. In public takeovers, Klaus has advised financial sponsors and industrial offerors and the boards and shareholders of acquired corporations. He has participated in drafting Finnish takeover regulation, including the first Helsinki Takeover Code.

Klaus also advises on capital markets transactions, including IPOs, rights offerings, and private offers of securities. He has previously practised U.S. securities law in the London office of the U.S. law firm Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton, where he represented European issuers and underwriters in international securities offerings.

Klaus has been appointed professor of practice at the Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki and teaches corporate and securities law. He has also served on a consultative group for developing EU corporate finance regulation.

Klaus has been deployed with Finnish forces in Afghanistan, Kosovo, and Lebanon, and he serves as the managing director of the Mannerheim-Foundation in Finland.

Mikko Heinonen

Mikko’s practice focuses on various forms of corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, finance advisory, and securities regulation. He frequently provides advice regarding transactional matters, governance, and financing issues to corporations, financial sponsors, and their boards. Mikko has also advised many industrial and technology companies in equity financing and restructuring situations and has considerable experience in public takeovers, mergers and cross-border transactions, including some of the largest transactions in the Nordic market.

Mikko is a frequent speaker at university lectures and seminars. Mikko is also entrusted with non-executive board memberships in various companies and charitable organisations. He currently serves as the chairman of the Turku University Foundation and is active in Hannes Snellman’s ESG Group.

Mikko is also qualified to practice in the State of New York.

Markus advises clients in a broad range of industries on all matters related to debt financing.

Mari works as an HR business specialist in our Human Resources Team. In her role, she provides support to our business areas in a wide range of HR matters covering all aspects of employment relationships.

Jenni Ristiniemi

Jenni works as a communications and employer branding manager and leads our Communications Team being responsible for our external and internal communications. Jenni is also part of our HR Team providing support to our Tax and Employment Teams in a wide range of HR matters covering all aspects of employment relationships.

Maria works as a legal assistant in our Finance Team. Maria supports the team in client work and in administrative work, such as invoicing.

Karoliina Kivelä

Karoliina works as a senior legal assistant in our Employment Team. She supports the team both in client work and in administrative tasks. Furthermore, Karoliina assists Juha Lindström from our Real Assets Team in a wide range of duties.

Katri Heino

Katri works as a senior legal assistant in our M&A Group, specifically in the Private M&A Team. Katri supports the team in client work and in administrative tasks, such as risk assessments, client engagement management, document management, meeting arrangements, and invoicing.

Merja Heikkinen

Merja works as a senior legal assistant in our Dispute Resolution Team. Merja supports the team in client work and in administrative work, such as invoicing.
