Minja Jantunen

Minja specialises in commercial dispute resolution. She advises domestic and international clients especially in the fields of investigations, domestic litigation, international and domestic arbitration, criminal proceedings, employment law-related disputes, and post M&A disputes.

Minja has experience in resolving complex and high-stake disputes through negotiations, arbitration, and litigation. Minja has gained experience in both internal and external investigation proceedings. Minja litigates cases regularly before the various instances of Finnish courts. She has extensive experience in disputes related to employment law, and she also represents clients in police investigations and subsequent criminal proceedings. Due to her experience as a counsel before Finnish courts and training on the bench at the District Court of Helsinki, Minja has gained an in-depth understanding of Finnish court proceedings. In addition, Minja represents clients regularly in domestic and international arbitrations. She has also acted as an administrative secretary in institutional arbitration proceedings. Minja has worked with clients active in many industries, including energy & infrastructure, consumer & retail, engineering & machinery, financial services & insurance, real estate & construction, and the public sector.

Klaara Lähteenoja

Klaara advises domestic and international clients on a wide range of employment law matters. Her expertise includes general advisory for employers in the Finnish market, drafting and terminating employment and management contracts, handling co-operation proceedings, and leading performance management initiatives. She also provides guidance on employment matters related to mergers and acquisitions and workplace data protection. Additionally, Klaara has experience in commercial agreements, company law, and intellectual property.

Agda Vähä-Piikkiö

Agda advises domestic and international clients on M&A and general corporate, commercial, and contract law. Agda has experience in various types of M&A transactions, including complex carve-out and cross-border corporate transactions. She has also gained experience in foreign direct investment (FDI) screening in Finland.

Jenni Parviainen

Jenni specialises in tax law, with a special focus on tax disputes and transactional tax advisory. Jenni frequently acts as counsel in tax litigation and advance proceedings. She also advises a wide range of clients in diverse domestic and cross-border M&A, real estate, finance, and capital markets transactions.

Jenni is a frequent speaker at conferences and lectures on tax litigation and transactional tax topics.

Nora Mansikka

Nora works in our Real Assets Practice, which is a multi-disciplinary group of experienced lawyers whose expertise cuts across energy, infrastructure, real estate, construction, environment, and projects.

Nora works as a legal assistant, focusing on real estate projects. She supports the team in client work and in administrative tasks, such as matter intake processes, document management, project coordination, and invoicing.

Sara Saukkonen

Sara works as an HR business specialist in our Human Resources Team. In her role, Sara provides support to our business areas in a wide range of HR matters covering all aspects of employment relationships.

Mikko Huimala

Mikko advises Finnish and international companies on all aspects of competition law, including merger control, compliance, investigations, proceedings before the competition authorities and courts, and state aid. He also advises companies on a range of regulatory issues relating to regulated markets, such as energy and telecoms, sanctions, and internal market issues, as well as foreign direct investment (FDI) screening.

Mikko has consistently advised numerous major Finnish corporations in several leading merger control, competition law advisory, and state aid cases during the past decade. Prior to joining private practice, Mikko gained several years of experience of investigating competition law infringement cases and actively participating in the networks of competition authorities.

Jenni Heurlin

Jenni advises domestic and international clients on all aspects of EU and Finnish competition law, including merger control, compliance, investigations, proceedings before the competition authorities and courts, and state aid. Moreover, she advises companies in a range of regulatory issues, including foreign direct investment (FDI) screening and Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR).

In addition to private practice, Jenni has gained in-house counsel experience in competition law matters and the execution of competition law compliance programmes.

Riikka Kuha

Riikka specialises in the fast-evolving field of corporate sustainability and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) law, with a special focus on corporate governance and compliance, commercial contracts, ESG due diligence, and supply chain risk assessment. She advises clients on navigating and staying ahead of the rapidly increasing ESG compliance obligations and recommendations and on incorporating sustainability into corporate strategies, policies, and operations. Moreover, she has extensive experience in both domestic and cross-border M&A transactions and corporate law, and she regularly advises clients on foreign direct investment (FDI) screening processes.

Riikka coordinates the firm’s cross-practice ESG activities, ensuring a cohesive approach in the multifaceted and interlinked ESG legal landscape. Additionally, Riikka is a frequent lecturer at external and internal events and education programmes on topics related to corporate sustainability and ESG.

Jesper Nevalainen

Jesper heads our Technology and Data Practice, and his practice focuses on commercial, technology, and data law and he has particular expertise in open source licensing issues. He advises both buyers and suppliers of information technology on a wide range of business-critical matters ranging from strategic advice, project management, contract drafting, negotiations, and disputes to re-engineering of distressed projects. In addition to outsourcing, his expertise also covers complex technology transactions, data protection and privacy, regulation of digitalisation, as well as non-contentious IP, software licensing, and compliance matters. He is also active in Hannes Snellman’s ESG Group.
