Hannes Snellman Counsel to Veolia in Its Crude Methanol Processing Plant Project in Connection With Metsä Fibre’s Äänekoski Bioproduct Mill

Hannes Snellman acts as counsel to Veolia Services Suomi Oy in its project to build a crude methanol processing plant in connection with Metsä Fibre’s Äänekoski bioproduct mill plant in Äänekoski. The project builds on technology enabling the purification of crude methanol generated in the pulp production process into commercial biomethanol and represents an important contribution to the global energy transition towards a more sustainable society. Once operational, the 12 000 tonnes-per-annum biomethanol plant will be the world’s largest of its kind.

Our team is headed by Katja Perätalo and Maria Landtman and includes Emmi Nuutila, Kristina Leibssle, Sara Soini, Anna-Maria Tamminen, Klaus Metsä-Simola, and Päivi Tammilehto.
