Hannes Snellman Advised OX2 in the Construction and Taking Over of Lestijärvi and Niinimäki Wind Farms

Aerial view of several white wind turbines scattered across a dense green forest under a partly cloudy sky, generating renewable energy in a rural landscape.

The newly completed Lestijärvi wind farm is the largest wind farm in Finland, with a total of 69 Siemens Gamesa turbines and a total capacity of 455.4 megawatts. Niinimäki wind farm, situated in the municipality of Pieksämäki, is the largest wind farm in Eastern Finland with 22 turbines and a total capacity of 145.2 megawatts. Lestijärvi and Niinimäki were both built by OX2 and were recently completed and handed over to their respective owners. The capacity of the two wind farms was over half of all wind energy capacity installed in Finland during 2025.

Hannes Snellman advised OX2 in various contractual and construction related aspects and negotiations during the construction phase and taking over of the wind farms, including with BoP works and turbine deliveries.
