Hannes Snellman Joins Finnish Space Law Association as Corporate Member

A hand holds a clear glass sphere against a pastel purple and pink cloudy sky, with the sky’s colors and clouds reflected inside the sphere.

We are pleased to announce that Hannes Snellman has joined the Finnish Space Law Association (FSLA) as a corporate member.

What Is the Finnish Space Law Association?

The Finnish Space Law Association is an independent non-profit organisation established in 2025 to advance knowledge, research, and collaboration in the field of space law in Finland. FSLA brings together legal experts, researchers, policymakers, students, companies, and public-sector actors to foster dialogue and interdisciplinary cooperation at the intersection of law, technology, and space activities. The association’s mission is to strengthen Finland’s space law expertise and support the development of responsible and innovative space governance.

The Finnish space sector is experiencing rapid growth, driven by technological innovation, increasing private investment, and growing international cooperation. Space-based technologies are becoming increasingly important for communications, navigation, climate monitoring, security, and data-driven business models across industries. As the sector evolves, legal and regulatory considerations are becoming central to enabling responsible innovation, supporting commercial growth, and ensuring that Finland remains a competitive and trusted participant in the global space economy.
