Lars Bärnheim, Miklos Kovacs Scherlin and Caroline Sundberg Nominated as Partners (Elect) in Stockholm

Lars Bärnheim is widely regarded as one of the top M&A lawyers in Sweden. For more than two decades, Lars has worked on hundreds of transactions advising clients mainly within the private equity sector on M&A, restructurings, refinancings, incentive and equity structures, and other matters but also has considerable experience working with industrial clients and founder-led businesses. He is well known for his calm, pragmatic, and commercial approach, praised by clients as “recommended for his broad knowledge and experience within the fields of M&A and corporate law and his skilful handling of documentation”.

Miklos Kovacs Scherlin has extensive experience from several Nordic and international transactions, including multiple carve-outs, representing both private equity sponsors and corporate investors. He also has experience of advising on general corporate and commercial contract issues, legal restructuring matters and has previously also worked as corporate legal counsel. Described by clients as “a very hard-working fast-learner who is detail-oriented and willing to find innovative solutions to issues and problems. Extremely responsive and knowledgeable. Excellent lawyer”, he is a top dealmaker.

Caroline Sundberg, with her profound knowledge and experience within legal matters relating to the IT-, technology and data sector, with a particular focus on commercial agreements and digital regulatory (GDPR and cyber security), is known to clients as she “stands out in her ability to quickly adapt to the clients' needs, for her expertise and her practical experience of delivering high-quality”. She also has considerable experience of matters related to new technologies such as green tech, e-health and AI as well as of providing advice to financial institutions and government agencies on procurement of cloud services and outsourcing services.
