A Review of Recent and Upcoming Events in the Telecom Market from the Viewpoint of Significant Market Power Regulation (in Finnish)

The legislative reform implementing the European Electronic Communications Code is nearing the finish line, and thus companies are well advised to start preparing themselves for meeting the changes resulting from both new and amended provisions. From the viewpoint of competition law, the changes proposed in the draft legislation regarding significant market power are of particular interest, especially with regard to lighter regulation, the review cycles of market analyses, and an EU-wide price cap on termination. We also examine relevant case law by discussing two recent rulings related to this topic.
