Piia Ahonen and Marika Sorsa Hosting the European VAT Club Meeting in Helsinki

Hannes Snellman’s VAT experts Specialist Partner Piia Ahonen and Counsel Marika Sorsa are co-hosting the European VAT Club’s meeting in Helsinki between 5–6 September 2024. The technical part of the meeting will take place at Hannes Snellman’s office, with the programme consisting of keynote speeches and topical industry updates from representatives of global companies and the Finnish Tax Administration.

The European VAT Club is an association of independent VAT specialists, originating from over 20 European countries. The VAT Club’s goal is to further promote, propagate, and develop the research for theory and practice of value added tax and similar taxes as applied in the European Union and elsewhere. In consonance with this, the VAT Club strives to become a valued partner in the public dialogue about the European decision making process on VAT-related matters.
