Jenni Parviainen Speaking at Suuri Veropäivä 2025

Following the Supreme Administrative Court ruling of December 2023, where compensation for an employee’s legal advisory costs paid by their employer was deemed taxable as salary income of the employee, the Government recently circulated a draft proposal for new legislation, allowing tax-exempt compensation for legal advisory costs under certain circumstances. It is widely agreed that the new legislation is highly necessary, but the draft proposal includes certain items which still raise questions.

Jenni Parviainen from Hannes Snellman’s Tax Team will discuss the proposed new legislation at the annual Suuri Veropäivä seminar on 24 September 2025, organised by the Finland Chamber of Commerce.
