She advises domestic and international clients on real estate transactions and property development. Lisa, you just completed a four-month-long secondment at Poul Schmith/Kammeradvokaten in Copenhagen this Spring. What inspired you to take on this opportunity? For me, an international secondment was the perfect opportunity to gain fresh perspectives, expand my professional network, and challenge myself in a new environment. When it came to Copenhagen and Poul Schmith specifically, I was excited to learn from our Nordic colleagues, experience the Danish work culture and strengthen our cross-border collaboration. Ultimately, I believe that when opportunities like this arise, you always say yes. What were some of the highlights of your experience? Without a doubt, the people I worked with truly made my stay. I feel really grateful to have had the chance to work with so many talented and friendly colleagues. It was also very insightful to see firsthand how another top-tier firm operates, manages client work, drives business development and integrates AI into their daily work. On a personal note, living in Copenhagen was an absolutely fantastic experience I will not forget any time soon. What did you learn about yourself during this time? Stepping outside the real estate practice into banking, finance and M&A offered a great learning experience, and I was actually a little surprised how much I enjoyed doing finance transactions. Luckily, finance and real estate transactions go nicely hand in hand, so all learnings will be put to use. What advice would you give to others considering a similar secondment? Say yes to opportunities. Professional gains aside, secondments tend to also be fun life experiences. Contacts Lisa Tihlman Senior Associate lisa.tihlman@hannessnellman.com +358 40 079 9382
