Corporate Citizenship at Hannes Snellman in 2019

19 December 2019

Our people are strongly involved in all our corporate citizenship and pro bono initiatives. One of our traditions is to make annual donations to charities that share our values.

In 2019, we will be supporting our long-term cooperation partner UNICEF, which has a long and successful history in promoting the rights of children. Other charity causes chosen this year are The Finnish Association for Nature Conservation (FANC), The Service Dog Programme of The Finnish Association of People with Physical Disabilities, and Suicide Zero.

This year, the law students in Finland also gave their contribution to our annual donation and charity work by voting between the different charity causes at a law students’ recruitment fair organised by The Association of Finnish Lawyers in October. The donation targets chosen by the law students were The Finnish Association for Nature Conservation (FANC) and The Service Dog Programme of The Finnish Association of People with Physical Disabilities.

We also continued our strong tradition of handling pro bono assignments. In addition, we acted as fundraisers in UNICEF's Thirst Day campaign and in Red Cross’s Hunger Day campaign, collected material donations for HOPE, and arranged the Finnish “Joulupuu” charity campaign in cooperation with our staff and law students.

We have a firm belief that by serving the public good, we translate our values into action.
