Financing Transactions Expert Tuomas Toivonen Joins Hannes Snellman as Counsel

Tuomas Toivonen has joined Hannes Snellman’s Finance team as a counsel. Tuomas specialises in both loan and bond transactions, mainly within the fields of real estate, corporate, project, and acquisition finance. 

Tuomas Toivonen is highly appreciated among the industry, and his skills in innovating new legal structures and financing products have been widely recognised. In 2015, Tuomas was listed by Legal500 among the 100 most influential and innovative in-house counsels in the Nordic countries.

Previously, Tuomas Toivonen worked for Nordea Bank, and he has been involved in various demanding financing transactions with both listed companies and private equity funds. He has also gained experience working closely with regulators and other financial institutions. 

Furthermore, Tuomas has been strongly involved in Finnish legislation processes, representing the Finnish financing sector. For example, Tuomas acted as a co-writer in drafting the Finnish Covered Bond Act and the recently introduced Finnish Bond Agency Act.
