Hannes Snellman's Lawyers Selected to Prepare a Report on the Reservation Mechanism Related to Exploration and Mining in Finland

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment is preparing a government bill amending the Finnish Mining Act (621//2011). With respect to the pending amendment, Hannes Snellman's lawyers Klaus Metsä-Simola, Rabbe Sittnikow, and Heikki Majamaa have been selected to prepare a report on the reservation mechanism related to exploration and mining. In the report, the significance of the reservation mechanism and different options for developing Finnish mining legislation, especially in the exploration phase, will be examined. The report is due to be prepared in the course of spring 2021.
