The Foundation of the Orthodox Cultural Centre of Finland

The Foundation was established in 2006 with the objective of preserving and developing the Eastern Orthodox Christian culture and tradition in Finland.

In order to fulfil this task, the Foundation has established several corporations and a cultural centre, called Sofia, in the eastern archipelago of Helsinki. The Sofia Centre organises seminars, lectures, art exhibitions, concerts, and retreats. It also offers premises for visiting artists and scholars, as well as provides an inspiring forum for an ecumenical and cultural dialogue and mutual learning in the context of today’s challenges in the EU and East-West relations.

Hannes Snellman manages the legal affairs of the Foundation. Our Senior Associate Ville Kivikoski serves as the Foundation’s prime legal counsel. The work provided by Ville and several other of our lawyers has included complex corporate and real estate transactions along with general corporate matters.
