Office Support Trainee and Evening Receptionist
As Office Support trainee your job will be to take care of practical matters involved with the daily “running” of the office, e.g. post-room, delivering mail and shipments, ordering office products, copying and filling stocks. We value service-mindedness, strong commitment and eagerness to learn. Our Office Support programme runs three times a year, starting in May, October and January. All periods are fixed-term and the work is part-time during semester to accommodate your studies and exams. We consider each candidate individually and the working hours will always be agreed on separately. An ideal candidate is a first or second year law student.
As Evening Receptionist your job will be to take care of our reception and switchboard. In practice this means telephone communication, welcoming guests, organising meetings and taking care of travel arrangements. In this position we value service-mindedness, problem-solving skills, good judgement skills as well as ability to take initiative. All periods are fixed-term and the work is part-time, two or three evenings per week. Working hours are mainly from 15.30 to 19.00. An ideal candidate is a first or second year law student.
We will soon begin looking for Office Support Trainees for the period starting in October 2017. The application period starts in August 2017. We will soon begin looking for an Evening Receptionist for the period starting in January 2018. The application period starts in the autumn.
As a KM Trainee you will primarily assist our lawyers in research and fact-finding. KM Trainees support the firm’s Knowledge Management Team in managing the library collections, editing pieces of news, performing information searches, compiling research materials, etc. This position requires precision and a basic knowledge of law.
KM Trainees work part-time during the semester and generally full-time during the summer. The duration of the employment and working hours will always be agreed on separately. An ideal candidate would be a third-year law student.
Our KM Trainee programmes usually start in January, May and September.
As an Associate Trainee you will have an outstanding opportunity to join our firm for a fixed 4-month period to familiarise yourself with the versatile profession of an attorney. You will work full-time in one of our practice groups: M&A, Finance, Dispute Resolution, IP & TMT or Competition. The work description for an Associate Trainee is similar to that of a newly qualified associate lawyer and you will, for example, carry out research, gather information and prepare draft documentation. You will be tutored by an associate who will both guide you in your work and introduce you to the HS way of work.
We value ambitious law students with a genuine interest in business law, drive and eagerness to learn. An ideal candidate is a law student who has completed at least 150 study credits before applying. In order to qualify, you must also be fluent in English and Finnish.
Our Associate Trainee programmes start in January, May and September. The application period for spring 2018 Associate Trainee Programme starts in August 2017. Please note that applicants will be interviewed on a rolling basis throughout the recruitment process and, therefore, we recommend submitting your application as soon as possible.
Our Thesis Trainees are offered the opportunity to write their thesis in an atmosphere of expertise and professionalism. You will be supervised by an experienced lawyer who will also tutor you in your thesis writing. You are welcome to participate in applicable introductory training programme, and we will provide you with the technical equipment required. You are more than welcome to participate also at our HS Academy lectures as well as to join the Avocados activities club. We value creative and analytical thinking as well as strong commitment and eagerness to learn.
The duration of the trainee period is approximately three months. We accept applications on a continuous basis and consider each candidate individually.
